Directors in firing line as executive remuneration strikes fall

Just six top companies have received a "strike" on executive pay this shareholder meeting season, compared to dozens in previous years as boards have taken a tougher line on CEO and executive pay.

However, individual directors have faced the strongest protest votes on record, as investors have demanded board renewal and held individual directors to account with big protest votes against directors at Harvey Norman, Brambles, Karoon Gas and Commonwealth Bank.
