In a previous life, when Didier Elzinga was working in the film industry, he was invited to attend an awards event, where he met Atlassian founders Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar.

Elzinga, the founder and chief executive of employee experience platform Culture Amp, realised the tech duo had hit on a business model that worked. Atlassian was a business that could grow exponentially without the need to expand its workforce by the same proportion. In other words, it was scalable.
