In February 2003, Jason Kovacic was in his last year of cardiology training at St Vincent’s hospital in Sydney.

The day started out as any other, until the now executive director of the Victor Chang Cardiac Research Institute received a phone call from the tour manager of the Rolling Stones, who were in town for the Sydney leg of the rock band’s global “Licks Tour”.
