2021 was the year women roared
Poor behaviour towards women is anything new, but there has been a far greater willingness over the past 12 months for women to speak out against such abuse.
It was as if Australian women woke up on January 1, 2021 and collectively thought: enough is enough. They were going to tell their story.
Revelations of sexual harassment and assault came so quickly that, in March, an exasperated, nay furious, Industry Minister Karen Andrews told ABC Radio: “I have had a gutful. I have had an absolute gutful.”
