The curse of costly long day care for two-year-old Archie is now just a bad memory for Claire Riley, who this week became one of the first recipients of employer-backed income support designed to address the rising cost of childcare.

In what may be an Australian first, u&u Recruitment Partners told staff it would subsidise the costs of childcare to ease the cost burden of returning to work.
