Visa rejections hit record as overseas students top 700,000

More than 700,000 overseas students are living in Australia, the highest figure on record, but more than 50,000 hopefuls had their visas rejected, also an all-time high, in the three months to February.
New government data reveals there were 713,000 people on student visas in Australia in February, 50,000 more than the previous record of 664,100 last September.
