Sydney Uni wins appeal over academic dismissed over Nazi slide

Sydney University has won an appeal over its dismissal of an academic who made multiple derogatory remarks about Israel, including superimposing the Nazi swastika on the Israeli flag in a lecture slide.

The win comes as universities are under intense pressure to tackle antisemitism on their campuses as pro-Palestinian protesters reach their third week of encampments on campuses in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra and Perth.
