School curriculum review ‘lacks intellectual rigour’

The national review of school curriculums is at risk of becoming an “amorphous collection of general capabilities and cross-curriculum priorities”, while failing to deal with specific problems of literacy, numeracy and equality of opportunity, according to a former director of curriculum for Australia, Fiona Mueller.
