School 'attendance' higher with online learning

Pupils in Queensland and Victoria seem more enthusiastic about logging in from home than they generally are about travelling to school.

Educators say COVID-19 may be improving the "attendance" of schoolchildren, with record low levels of absenteeism in Victoria and Queensland on Monday.

Queensland opened for term two with online teaching only on Monday, while Victoria started its second term last week.
