Robot dog, but no staff super: Canberra private school in trouble
A private school in Canberra could lose more than $7 million a year in federal funding after a spate of financial and regulatory incidents, including spending $100,000 on a robot dog while failing to pay staff superannuation.
Brindabella Christian College, a K-12 school with two campuses in the national capital, could be just the second school in Australia to lose its federal grants after it failed to meet conditions imposed in 2023 by the Administrative Appeals Tribunal with a deadline of August 1, 2024.
