Hit with the double whammy of rising interest rates on student loans and the rising cost of living in Australia, international students should be relieved to find that most universities are unlikely to increase fees next year at the rate of inflation.

Universities have systematically raised course fees for international students above the rate of inflation over the past seven years, despite many students not understanding they will face annual fee hikes when they enrol.
