Emails revealed as ousted Cranbrook head hires top silk
Cranbrook School’s governing council, including its then chairwoman, former Macquarie director Helen Nugent, was briefed on the allegations about a current teacher that forced the prestigious educational institution’s headmaster, Nicholas Sampson, to resign this month.
Mr Sampson is also understood to have denied he was asked about the teacher, who was investigated in 2016 for his relationship with a former student at another school and for sending explicit messages about other pupils, as first revealed by the ABC’s Four Corners program.
