Edith Cowan University’s acclaimed performing arts academy will find itself on a new stage in the centre of Perth from 2025, after the university successfully raised $250 million on bond markets last week to build a new campus.

Moving the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, along with fashion, journalism, broadcasting and the business school with 10,000 students, into the $695 million building will not only revitalise the Perth central business district but bring about the end of the university’s outer urban Mount Lawley campus.
