Average HECS debts to rise by $2350 on June 1

University graduates with an average student loan of $50,000 will be slugged with another $2350 increase from June 1.
The nearly 3 million people who have a Higher Education Loan Program debt – better known as HECS – will be hit with a 4.7 per cent indexation, which was determined by the Education Department on Wednesday, following the release of March quarter inflation figures.
