A father who applied for the same job as his daughter has complained to an inquiry into discrimination against mature workers that a state government agency rejected him because his age made him "too slow" for the job.

Charles Hamilton said both he and his daughter applied for the same positions at the unnamed state government agency but only his daughter was successful.
