In a crisis, what was once a tough decision can quickly become an easy one. Telstra’s cybersecurity boss Narelle Devine recalls that moment came in a previous role, after hackers successfully infiltrated the business’s defences a few weeks before the Christmas break.

They had struck on a Friday afternoon. The ransomware attack had been quickly identified and contained, the attacker was nimble and Devine and her team could see they were trying to break back in throughout the night.
