One of Australia's most successful art directors, a same-sex marriage campaigner and a former Australian cricketer were among those recognised on Tuesday night for their ability to use their influence, courage and tenacity to enhance their communities.

Elizabeth Ann Macgregor, director of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Sydney, Belinda Clark, who played cricket for Australia between 1991 and 2005 and is now a senior executive at Cricket Australia, and Anna Brown, chief executive of Equality Australia, won their respective categories in this year's The Australian Financial Review 100 Women of Influence awards, sponsored by Qantas.
