Avoiding a COVID-19 shortcut could boost your tax refund

Australians could boost their tax refund by avoiding a special COVID-19 deduction shortcut, accountants H&R Block have warned.
Last month the Australian Tax Office announced special arrangements for the record number of people working from home during the pandemic, allowing taxpayers to simply claim 80¢ for each hour they've worked from home, rather than itemising individual expenses.
