Boutique industry superannuation outfit Mine Super and retail giants Colonial First State and Insignia handed members the best returns of any fund this past financial year, each reporting growth of 10.7 per cent.

It was the second year Mine Super, which serves coal miners and other high-risk occupations, topped the annual list produced by research house Chant West.
