The fiscal policies that should be in the budget – but probably won’t
Having completed a review of the RBA’s deficiencies, it may well be time to review the performance of Treasury.

First, it will challenge the Treasurer’s political spin in his budget address that Labor is a superior economic manager to the previous Coalition government. Second, it will challenge his capacity to claim a “looming budget crisis” and echo former Treasurer Joe Hockey’s long forgotten 2014 claim.
