The prospect of Donald Trump securing a second term as president of the United States stirs passionate responses. A significant portion of people believes Trump’s re-election would be disastrous for the economy and markets; a similar number thinks the same about the potential re-election of Democrat President Joe Biden.

Nevertheless, investors should not overlook the likelihood of Trump 2.0. Polls not only tell us a second Trump presidency is possible, they tell us it is likely. Many Americans are buying what Trump is selling as he campaigns for the Repubican nomination.
