This famous 71-year-old scientist could hold the key to Alzheimer’s

Baroness Susan Greenfield is busy drumming up funding for her fourth start-up, which aims to identify the ageing disease long before symptoms appear.

Baroness Professor Susan Greenfield once calculated the speed at which the human brain can think as 352 kilometres an hour.

It’s not quite as fast as a Japanese bullet train, but after spending lunch with her at Melbourne’s Kenzan restaurant, I conclude that the calculation is an underestimation of the velocity at which her own brain travels.
