The public disclosure that the country’s wealthiest couple have separated has led to speculation about how their myriad entities will be carved up.

Perth’s Black Swan State theatre, where Nicola Forrest is a patron, last month staged Things I Know To Be True.

The candid title is fitting for the drama that unravelled this week when the Forrests came clean about a situation long speculated – they were no longer together. The city of two million is dominated by the enormous riches of its wealthy families such as the Forrests, and the theatre just one of the myriad interests that have benefited from the family’s coffers.
