Australian tech bosses and recruiters say there has been a sharp increase in the use of offshore technology workers in the past year, as more local professionals look to work permanently from home after the COVID-19 pandemic.

While many offshore jobs were brought back to Australia during the pandemic, bosses are now looking back overseas, where similar skill sets can be acquired for a fraction of the cost of local workers.
