What doesn't kill us makes us stronger: Huawei
Huawei's competitors must be subjected to the intense scrutiny the Chinese telecommunications maker has faced, if nations around the world are to have any chance of being safe against cyber security threats, one of Huawei's top security executives says.
Questions over Huawei's ties with the Chinese government, and concerns in the UK that its products simply contain too many security flaws, have forced the world's largest telecommunications equipment supplier to overhaul its security processes, and other equipment suppliers should follow suit with overhauls of their own, said Andy Purdy, the chief security officer at Huawei USA.
