Virtual reality firefighters bank $5m from Victorian government

Virtual reality start-up Flaim Systems has banked $6.7 million to help it expand its firefighting training technology abroad and reduce the billions spent managing firefighting injuries. The Victorian government’s $2 billion investment company Breakthrough Victoria is a cornerstone investor.

Flaim’s virtual firefighting training system is in service with more than 300 customers across emergency services, defence and training organisations in 45 countries, with the majority in Australia, the United States and Britain.
