The new iPhone raises some questions. The trickiest one is in the name

There are more than 7400 perfectly good English words that start with the letter “e”, and many of them are better than nothing when it comes to describing Apple’s intriguing new phone.

There are many tricky questions swirling around Apple’s latest phone, the iPhone 16e.

Questions such as “How long can I live off the $800 I will save if I get the 16e instead of a fancy model?” and “How close to me do people have to be standing, before they can tell I have a 16e instead of that fancy model?” (Answers: 15 minutes, and 50 paces, respectively.)
