‘The jury’s out’: China’s quantum supremacy claims questioned

A former Google quantum physicist says there are “a lot of questions” over Chinese scientists’ claim to have made a major leap forward in quantum computing.
Last week scientists from a group of Chinese universities published a paper in which they claimed to have completed a calculation almost 100 trillion times faster than is possible using conventional supercomputers.
