TechOne’s record $5.2m court loss sent to retrial

Software company TechnologyOne and its vocal founder Adrian Di Marco have succeeded in having a record $5.2 million damages bill set aside after the full Federal Court ordered a retrial of a long-running employment law case involving a former manager.

Overturning Justice Duncan Kerr’s original judgment on Thursday, the full court said their colleague had failed to consider whether extensive complaints about former Victorian manager Behnam Roohizadegan were “a substantial and operative factor” in his dismissal.
