Elon Musk’s social media service X, formerly known as Twitter, has stood by its owner’s decision not to delete accounts that share child abuse material to deliberately provoke outrage.

Mr Musk reinstated the account of a far-right influencer who shared a video originally produced by a notorious Australian paedophile last month, saying the content would be deleted but the user’s account would not be.
