Killer investors inject $6m into death tech start-up

Death management platform Willed has scored $6 million from a list of renowned institutional investors including Thorney Investment Group, Ellerston Capital and Bell Potter’s Hugh Robertson.

The start-up, co-founded by Aaron Zelman, Dave Kaplan and Tim Glasson in 2019, enables users to create a will in less than 20 minutes, as well as nominating an executor. The platform also enables users to apply for probate (judicial process whereby a will is “proved” in court), arrange funerals and make bequests (of which more than $100 million has been bequeathed since it launched).
