Despite the tech investment frenzy of the past decade, Australia’s largest venture capital fund remains virtually unknown, with its investments rarely reported.

While VC firms like Blackbird, AirTree and Square Peg are famous within the start-up community, none operates a single fund even half as big as Breakthrough Victoria (BV), with its low profile doubly perplexing given it belongs to the Victorian government, and is entirely funded by the public.
