Global tech rivals vow to fight AI threats
Bletchley Park, England | The world’s top technology powers have pledged to jointly tackle the potentially “catastrophic” harms of artificial intelligence, setting aside geopolitical rivalries and competing visions on how to manage the rise of the machines.
Britain appears to have used the first day of a two-day AI Safety Summit, held at the World War II code-breaking centre Bletchley Park, to corral the US, the European Union, China, India, and 25 other mostly Asian and Gulf states into making common cause on AI.
