The venture arm of steelmaker Bluescope is among the investors backing a new start-up that makes software for structural engineers to design buildings built from mass timber products.

Founded by friends Adam Jones and Ringo Thomas, CLT Toolbox has raised $1.5 million from BluescopeX and Aconex co-founder Rob Phillpot’s Gravel Road Ventures, as well as venture capital investors Archangel Ventures, which led the round.
