Aussie who sold cloud start-up for $2b jumps on AI for ads

Three years after he sold the company he founded with his brother for $2 billion, one of Australia’s most successful technology entrepreneurs has pulled in venture capital investment for a new company, saying he doesn’t want to miss out on the excitement of the artificial intelligence boom.

Sam Kroonenburg is now co-founder and co-chief executive of Cuttable, which describes itself as an automated digital advertising agency. It has also closed a $5.5 million seed funding round led by Square Peg Capital, which will see Seek co-founder Paul Bassat join its board.
