Atlassian rides out skills shortage remotely as tech sector forms plan

Atlassian co-founder Scott Farquhar says his company’s decision to let staff work from anywhere is sheltering it from the worst of a growing national skills shortage, as he helps the new peak tech industry body launch a plan to tackle the problem.

The Tech Council of Australia (TCA), of which Mr Farquhar is a director, and the federally funded Digital Skills Organisation (DSO) will announce on Tuesday that they have signed a new partnership with the aim of solving Australia’s tech talent shortage.
