Sydney-based venture capital firm Airtree Ventures has closed the majority of a $650 million capital raising for two new funds to invest in technology start-ups, attracting new institutional investors from the United States and securing money from three Australian superannuation funds.
In a letter to the firm’s existing investors, seen by The Australian Financial Review, Airtree announced the close of its fifth fund, which it said would be split across two vehicles, known as Core Fund V and Opportunity Fund V.
