Along with most of the Liberal frontbench, Senator Andrew Bragg didn’t make the annual Business Council Dinner last month.

But one shouldn’t read into that. After all, Bragg was elected to parliament straight from a role at the Business Council and has never shirked taking up the business community’s causes. And anyway, since 2019, he’s had his own thing going on. A sort of inverted Business Council dinner, where bizoids gather not to hear from the nation’s politicians, but where one of the nation’s politicians invites bizoids to hear from one of their own. The October 23 function promises to be a sell-out.
