There are some invitations one should never turn down. A request to appear before a Senate inquiry is chief among them.

But superannuation giant Cbus isn’t afraid to ruffle some feathers in Canberra. The embattled construction industry fund already told the Senate it couldn’t spare any staff to attend an October hearing into the retirement system. And it’s done it again, for another inquiry hearing scheduled for this Thursday.
