Hats off this week to the devoted husband of teal MP Dr Monique Ryan who was caught on camera in a footpath stand-off over a corflute of Liberal candidate Amelia Hamer in Melbourne.
After beating Josh Frydenberg at the last election, Ryan’s breakthrough national media moment was the sacking of her then-chief of staff Sally Rugg. Rugg subsequently sued, alleging she was berated by her former boss and made to work long hours. Rugg settled for $100,000, and Ryan admitted no fault.
