Labor powerbroker Jim Soorley insists he’s not a lobbyist, but geez, he can have ministers call him back on speed-dial.

That’s shown in a Right to Information request about communications between Soorley, the former Catholic priest and Brisbane lord mayor who likes a flutter on the ponies, and Queensland Transport Minister Mark Bailey, once under fire for chatting government work on his former personal email mangocube6@yahoo.co.uk.
