In six heady years, Qantas chairman Richard Goyder led the company through (or to) an excruciating reputational crisis. But he will exit to well-wishes and exceedingly gracious speeches delivered in one of Sydney’s most salubrious hotels.

On December 12, Qantas is planning a formal farewell at the luxurious Capella Sydney, in adjoining conference rooms capable of accommodating anywhere from 30 to 80 people.
