Two years late, the Commonwealth Bank will take back the chair of the Australian Banking Association in December.

CommBank’s chief executive Matt Comyn will succeed ANZ’s Shayne Elliott at the ABA’s annual meeting while Suncorp’s David Carter will continue as deputy chairman until December 2020 (curiously, newly confirmed Suncorp chief Steve Johnston isn’t stepping into that position himself).
