John Farnham’s Voice is hardly unheard
Myriam RobinRear Window editorUpon announcing the fact that John Farnham’s You’re The Voice would provide the irrepressible soundtrack for a major new pro-Voice ad, the Uluru Dialogue made much of its coup.
It was, reporters were briefed, the first time permission has ever been granted for the song to be used in a commercial. This dubious claim was uncritically repeated by most outlets, and strengthened by quotes from Tim Wheatley, who is the son of Farnham’s long-time manager Glenn Wheatley.
