Well, well, well, after more than four years at the helm of V8 Supercars, James Warburton has pulled the pin on his 4½-year stint "with a heavy heart" and, no doubt, a sated wallet. As it should be, having grown Supercars' earnings by nearly 140 per cent and TV ratings by more than 40 per cent.

It will be fascinating to see where the former Ten Network CEO pops up next. Interestingly enough, he recently interviewed with APN Outdoor for the chief executive role being vacated by its veteran boss Richard Herring. We've no idea whether Warburton has landed the job, but APN directors had certainly been considering his candidacy.
