The country’s private hospital system is under siege from “stark inequity and market failure” as the federal government “throws its hands in the air” and leaves patients and doctors “in chaos”.

At least, that is according to Australian Private Hospitals Association CEO and conservative hack-for-hire Brett Heffernan, in the latest in a flood of increasingly frenzied media releases.
