Deloitte bought a global AI ad campaign. Media silence came with it

There have been more stories published by the media in Colombia about Deloitte’s botched AI report for the federal government than in The Australian.

Consumers of any Australian media (and a host of overseas publications) will know that Deloitte’s use of artificial intelligence is under intense scrutiny.

Revelations the firm had used AI when completing an error-ridden report for the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations, first appeared in this newspaper. It’s repaying a portion of the $440,000 plus GST it charged for the sloppy work.
