It’s been more than five years since Westfield billionaire Frank Lowy became one of the first Australians to buy himself a Gulfstream 650, the first business jet able to fly non-stop to Sydney from Los Angeles (or, with favourable wind, from Tel Aviv) without a fuel stop.
While Toll billionaire Paul Little, Multiplex heir Tim Roberts and sun king Rupert Murdoch got theirs first, Lowy has since been joined in the Australian 650 club by News Corp and Fox chairman Lachlan Murdoch, plumbing Rich Lister Jonathan Munz and, most recently, Spotlight billionaire Zac Fried.
