The Takeovers Panel forced open the data room at AusNet Services on Friday, ruling that the way in which Peter Mason’s board granted eight weeks of exclusive due diligence to bidder Brookfield was “unacceptable”. AusNet’s other suitor, APA Group, will now commence its own concurrent DD.
