Charlie Aitken's still got his ego
Joe AstonColumnistFund manager Charlie Aitken believes he’s been harshly treated by the Australian financial press.
“In the United States, they celebrate entrepreneurism,” Aitken told chartered accountant Brett Kelly, who has just self-published a collection of interviews he's ironically entitled Investment Wisdom. “If I’d done this in America and had a bad three or six months, The Wall Street Journal wouldn’t kick me, they’d just leave me alone. Similarly, if I’d had a great six months, The Wall Street Journal would celebrate it.”
